All staff continuously strive for improvement and are supported with a solid foundation of training to help motivation and personal growth throughout the team; the training combines internal and external sources.

Tom Walker & Sons’ Thorpe Leazes Farm site is a registered food safety training centre and consequently all production and warehouse staff have their Food Safety for Manufacturing Level 2, as standard.

The company also reaped benefits from adopting ‘Lean’ manufacturing principles, which have been welcomed throughout the business to great effect.
