New Product Development and Marketing Assistant

Responsibilities

New Product Development Support:

  • Work with Cheese, Chutney, Sauce, Crackers, Snacking and packaging suppliers to source and develop products for our gift selections.
  • Assemble product elements to develop gift packs for our customers
  • Support the NPD Manager in writing detailed supplier briefs
  • Manage critical project paths and deadlines to ensure timely launches
  • Take meeting minutes and follow up on action points
  • Prepare and send out sample packs to customers
  • Visit stores to gather inspiration, samples and competitor insights
  • Occasionally accompany the NPD Manager at customer Head offices and collect feedback for further development

 

Marketing Support:

  • Gather information to prepare reports on market trends and competitor activities.
  • Assist in implementing marketing campaigns for branded and own label lines.
  • Analyse market research data to support marketing and NPD decisions.
  • Execute the digital marketing strategy across social media platforms.
  • Ensure the company website is up to date and respond to customer enquiries online.
  • Help create, maintain and update the company intranet.
  • Support the Head of UK Marketing Strategy in preparing presentations and organising meetings.
  • Assist in planning and managing trade shows and product awards submissions.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Business, Marketing or Food Science with 1 year experience is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Attention to detail and a creative mindset
  • Disciplined approach to meet set deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, trade shows and store visits
